OCTELA hosts two conferences annually, one each spring and fall. The Reading and Writing Conference, held each fall, and OCTELA's spring conference both address the needs of English language arts teachers, providing professional development that is aligned to the Ohio and NCTE standards. Additionally, the Spring Conference honors outstanding ELA educators while the Fall Conference honors the Bonnie Chambers Award winner.
